Most used method
This method works on three out of five devices. This method involves the combination of two keys which when pressed simultaneously triggers the screen capturing action. Pick up your phone and begin with holding down the power button and volume down button together at the same time until you hear a sound, vibration or a screen animation on your smartphone. Once done, you’ll see a new notification stating that screenshot have been captured. You can also visit in your multimedia Gallery to check out the captured screenshot. This method works on all of nexus devices, Motorola devices, Sony devices, Samsung Devices (Few devices ), LG devices, Asus Devices and some other devices which comes with Pure Android experience.
HTC devices/Few Samsung Devices
This method works specifically on HTC devices and few recently launched Samsung devices. This method again involves the combination of two keys which when pressed simultaneously triggers the screen capturing action. Instead of volume down button we’ll be using home button and yes! That’s the only difference. So, pick up your phone and hold down the power button and home button together at the same time until you hear a sound, vibration or a screen animation on your smartphone. Once done, you’ll see a new notification stating that screenshot have been captured. As usual, you can visit in your multimedia Gallery to check out the captured screenshot.
Samsung’s Palm Swipe to capture
Samsung has inbuilt intuitive mechanism for capturing a screen shot. Just wave our palm over the screen and a sound, vibration or a screen animation on your smartphone will confirm that a screenshot have been captured. Make sure to enable this feature in your phone settings. Not every Samsung device has this feature but devices like Galaxy note, Galaxy note 2, Galaxy S3 have this feature.
Samsung S Pen to capture a screenshot
If you own a Samsung high end device that comes with a S Pen, then you can use it to capture screenshot quickly and easily. Just hold down the button on pen and while holding the button touch the screen with your pen until you hear a sound, vibration or a screen animation on your smartphone. This method works on Samsung tab too that comes with S-pen.
From Notification Panel
Some devices like MIUI and Asus Devices also allow you to take screen shot from notification panel. Pull down notification panel twice to revel the toggle button menu, look for a screenshot button and click it. As soon as you click it, the notification panel will roll up and capture the screenshot. If you don’t find any screenshot toggle button, you may need to edit the toggles and add it manually.
