Even though, initially, nobody thought that a TAG Heuer smartwatch would sell good, the Swiss manufacturer took the market by surprise, so it was just a matter of time until a new model would make its debut.
It doesn’t come for cheap, though…
Today, the TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 was unveiled, being presented as the first “Swiss-made connected watch”, allowing users to swap pretty much every part of it, in order to create a truly unique device. Actually, there are 56 different combos you can make on TAG Heuer’s website, according to GSM Arena, but the price will definitely keep away a lot of potential buyers.
To be more specific, we’re talking about a price tag of $1,650 ($150 cheaper than the previous model, as a side note), but it can go even higher, depending on your strap choice, materials or colors.
For example, you can choose Titanium, Ceramic, Leather or Rubber straps, and even add a few diamonds on the watch, if your account allows you to. Also, in terms of watch faces, you can pick an authentic one or use the TAG tool, in order to create your own. Ok, now this is what we call customization!
A two-day battery smartwatch?
Spec-wise, the TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 comes with a…45mm diameter, rocking a 1.39″ AMOLED display, while under the hood is hiding an Intel Atom Z34xx chipset and a 410mAh battery, able to provide up to 25 hours of regular use.
Finally, we should mention that the watch is waterproof up to 50m, so you can even take it swimming, while the spec sheet is completed by features like a GPS module, Bluetooth and NFC, being Android Pay-enabled. And, of course, it runs the latest version of Google’s operating system for smartwatches, Android Wear 2.0.
