What everybody was expecting finally happened. Huawei started sending invites for a press event held on Sunday, February 26, during the Mobile World Congress, in Barcelona. Not a lot of details were revealed though, since, according to the invite, the Chinese manufacturer’s CEO will “share Huawei’s latest innovations and exciting advances“. But we all know what that means…
A new flagship at the horizon!
There’s no doubt that the company’s flagship for 2017, the Huawei P10, alongside the P10 Plus, will be the main attractions of the event. Of course, the second model is still uncertain, but hey, one can hope, right?
Recently, there were enough leaks and rumors about the Huawei P10, so we already know what we could see during the event. To be more specific, the handset should feature a double-curved IPS display, rocking a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
At the core, we’re looking forward to seeing the manufacturer’s own Kirin 960 chip, aided by 6GB and, probably, at least 64GB of internal storage. As for the camera…well, things might be very interesting from this point of view!
The camera, P10’s biggest plus
Just like the previous model, it could feature a dual setup on the back, but we’re still not convinced about the number of megapixels. Some are pointing to two 12 MP cameras, while others mention the 20 and 12 MP setup from the Huawei Mate 9. Also, we shouldn’t exclude the possibility of seeing a Huawei P10 with a completely new setup!
According to multiple reports, the P10 will start hitting the shelves somewhere in March or April, so there’s no doubt that we’re going to see the flagship during the February 26 event. Finally, the price remains a mystery, but we will be back with more details about this, as soon as any details come up.
